Gangtok, Lachung and Pelling Tour Overview

Once you arrive at Bagdogra. You will be picked up by our tour representative with a warm welcome then proceed to the hotel. Spend time at leisure or add an activity. Overnight stay in the hotel. On the next day after breakfast In the hotel proceed for sightseeing, which includes Changu Lake, Baba Mandir, Nathula Pass. This nine days tour package also includes Yumthang Valley, Hot Spring in Lachung. Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Flower Exhibition Centre, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Tashi View Point in Gangtok. Pemayangtse Monastery, Khecheopalri Lake, Kanchenjunga Falls in Pelling. Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery, Peace Pagoda, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Himalayan Zoological Park in Darjeeling. On the final day pst breakfast at Hotel, Checkout from Hotel and drive back to Bagdogra Airport with the memorial trip.

Day 1

Once you arrive at Bagdogra. You will be picked up by our tour representative with warm welcome then proceed to hotel. Spend time at leisure or add an activity. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 2

After breakfast In the hotel proceed for sightseeing, which inckudes Changu Lake: Changu Lake or Tsomgo Lake is one of the most sought-after tourist attractions of Gangtok. An oval-shaped lake spread across a kilometers stretch and situated 35 km away from Gangtok. Take a walk around and treat your eyes to the stunning view of the snow-capped mountains under the canopy of cloud racing sky.
Baba Mandir: Paying homage to Baba Harbhajan Singh, the New Baba Mandir in Gangtok is situated around 12 kilometers away from the old Baba Mandir. The temple was built to pay homage to Baba Harbhajan Singh, an Indian army soldier, who was believed to serve his nation even after his death. According to the beliefs of the locals and army personnel, his spirit is still around, guarding the border of India. It is also believed that the water kept in his shrine has healing properties and can cure any possible ailment. The Old Baba Mandir is located near Nathang Valley and is not accessible to many tourists. Thus, given the inconvenience of tourists and difficult terrain, New Baba Mandir was constructed near Tsomgo Lake in 1982
Nathula Pass: Once a silk trade route between India and Tibet, is now the famous Nathula Pass of Gangtok. On the way to Nathula, a place called Thegu features the world's highest altitude ATM, withdraw money here and keep the receipt as a souvenir. Another locale called Sherathang en route Nathula hosts India's highest altitude internet cafe and shopping mart. Due to low level oxygen in the air at the Nathula Pass, people with breathing problems or other health problems are recommended not to visit. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 3

After morning meal go- ahead for sightseeing.
Yumthang Valley : Located around 30 kilometers from Lachung, Yumthang Valley is situated at about 3,564 metres above sea level and blooms with rhododendrons, poppies, iris and many other exotic flowers The valley is known for featuring the world famous Shingba. the place is often also known as the Sikkim Valley of Flowers.
Hot Spring; Hot Spring is a famous hot spring on the bank of the Rangeet River. High in sulfur concentration, the hot spring has special curative powers for skin diseases. Also known ad Cha-chu of Reshi, the hot spring can be reached by driving downhill towards the Rangit river valley. Dinner at Hotel in Lachung Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 5

Breakfast at Hotel in Lachung, Checkout from Hotel drive back to Gangtok. Spend time at leisure or add an activity. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 6

Do Drul Chorten Stupa : Do Drul Chorten Monastery was built by the Trulshig Rinpoche Lama of Tibet to ward off all the evil spirits haunting the place. It is regarded as one of the most important Buddhist shrines of Sikkim because of the deity Vajra Kilaya enshrined on top of the Chorten stupa. Flower Exhibition Centre: A paradise for flower lovers, the Flower Exhibition Centre displays flowers from different parts of Sikkim under one roof. The centre is situated just below the Ridge Park and is a tropical greenhouse of several species of orchids, anthuriums and lilies. Filled with a variety of colourful flowers and their fragrances, it is a refreshing place to visit
Namgayal Institute of Tibetology: The Namgyal Institute of Tibetology promotes and research on the history, language, art, and culture of the religion. The foundation of the institute was laid by the 14th Dalai Lama and declared open by the late Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.
Tashi View Point: Tashi Viewpoint offers a perfect view of the mountains. Built by the late king of Sikkim - Tashi Namgyal, the place offers a sweeping view of Kanchenjunga snow peaks (on a clear day). View of the Phodong Monastery and the Labrang Monastery against the backdrop of lush mountains is also visible from the point. Spend time at leisure or add an activity. Day 7
After breakfast at Hotel in Pelling, make a start to, Pemayangtse Monastery: The Pemayangtse Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim. The most unique feature of the monastery is a wooden structure - Zangdokpalri, located on the top floor. It is a heavenly sphere that depicts the vision of Lama Gyalwa Lhatsum Chempo in a solid form. Also, the monastery features wall paintings, sculptures, a statue of Guru Padmasambhava,
Khecheopalri Lake: Sacred to Buddhist and Hindus, Khecheopalri Lake, also considered as a Wishing Lake, is one of the most sacred lakes in Sikkim. Located at an altitude of 6004 feet above the sea level, one can even see the reference of the lake in Buddhist and Hindu mythologies. It is believed that the regional birds pick up everything as soon as it falls on the surface of the lake, which is perhaps the reason why the lake remains clean.
Kanchenjunga Falls: Kanchenjunga Falls are located 25 km away from Pelling. A beautiful waterfall cascading down from a significant height creates a magical view. Originating high up in the glaciers of Mount Kanchenjunga, the crystal clear water remained hidden in the thick forest till the 90s. It is a famous spot now to enjoy a picnic for families and an ideal place to get up close with nature for nature lovers. Day 9

After breakfast at Hotel, continue to sightseeing, Tiger Hill : The highest point in Darjeeling. On a clear day, the place offers a picturesque view of Mount Kanchenjunga and even Mount Everest. The place is a sight to behold, especially during the sunrise. Watching the sun gliding over the horizon and creating a kaleidoscope of colors that light up the entire sky and Mount Kanchenjunga is breathtaking.
Batasia Loop : Located on the Hill Cart Road, Batasia Loop is known for offering an expansive view of the Eastern Himalayas including the majestic Mount Kanchenjunga. At Batasia Loop, the toy train takes a full circle and one can see the view of lush green mountains along with the Gorkha War Memorial. The entire area is actually a well-manicured garden, covered with seasonal and perennial flowers and shrubs


Ghoom Monastery
One of the oldest monasteries of Darjeeling, Ghoom Monastery or Yiga Choeling Monastery is famous for its 15 feet high statue of the Maitreya Buddha which is believed to be the Buddha of the future. The two oil lamps placed in front of the statue burn all the time and throughout the year.
Peace Pagoda : Located atop the Charlemont Hill, Japanese Peace Pagoda is a sacred symbol of harmony and brotherhood. It was built under the supervision of Nichidatsu Fujii and is open for people from all walks of life. A perfect example of Japanese architectural style, the temple is decorated with sandstone carvings, depicting stories from different chapters of Gautam Buddha’s life.
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute ; built with a purpose to encourage mountaineering as an organized sport in India. The highlight of the institute is the mountaineering museum. Paintings, artifacts, models, and equipment are some of the exhibits in the museum.
Himalayan Zoological park : Covering an area of 205 hectares, Himalayan Zoological Park preserves and nurtures the amazing wildlife of Gangtok. Situated at an altitude of 1,780 meters, the park also offers mesmeric views of Mount Kanchenjunga. Explore this incredible habitat of animals like Himalayan Red Panda, Snow Leopard Cat, Himalayan Black Bear, Crimson-Horned Pheasant, Himalayan Palm Civet along with other species of flora and fauna.
